frustrated and i'm new

i'm a newbie too my son who is 8 recently diagnosed with add and discovered yourselves this morning whilst looking for coping strategies as this morning was a nightmare! hav'nt got much support as certain family members think add is nonsense and that i'm insulting my son and i should leave him alone. frustrating or what!
