| Danielle receives no help in school whatsoever. The head teacher is the SENCO & is completely useless. Her teacher (who she has had for the second year running) was newly qualified last year & is totally clueless. Its SO frustrating!! | |

| That sounds just like my D When we had the play worker come to our house to tell us what was going to happen when we went in to see her D started going "BORING" & was really showing me up. Hope the appointment went ok. Fingers crossed for you both. D just saw the Ed psych last week at school. How do I get in touch myself with labbs? Is there a website or something? | |

| Looks like its gonna be a slow process - appointment with ed psych is Mar 18 and she was rubbish with Joshua when we saw her 2 years ago - she said she couldn't engage him & he hated her - should be fun - ha ha !!!!! | |

| Danielle saw the Ed Psych at school last week. Nobody has got back to me about their findings yet though. Its bloody hard work. Were about 18 months or so down the line now from our first visit to the GP to ask to be referred to CAMHS. | |

| We were lucky and got to CAMHS quick but only because Joshua's asthma consultant in London has a psych attaached to his team and she got pushy for us. I have to ring Jackie at CAMHS on Monday to give her the latest update - we were hoping to stay off meds for a while but school can't cope so he's back on them. We were gonna try something different but have researched it and looks like not suitable for asthmatics - just our luck! | |

| Pain about the meds. Jackie is cool isnt she? Have found CAMHS are ok as long as you push them, its school who are delaying things because they dont want to spend any of their money on supporting Danielle. | |

| We did move Joshua when he first had problems - his old school handled it really badly - the teachers told me in the middle of parents evening just as a by the way they thought he as ADHD - not qualified to do so and had already totally destroyed his self confidence. Within half a term he was a changed child and although he was still only on School Action Plus it has helped. DON'T GIVE UP. Use Jackie as much as poss - she won't think you are a pain!

| Perhaps ill give Jackie a call next week when I get rid of this nasty cold. See if she can indicate how much longer this is likely to take & what she advises. Got Play Worker appointment next Wednesday. Think we have seen everyone now, so surely the official diagnosis cant be too far off? xxx | |
